Connect AI to Your Financial Accounts — Truthifi Connect Guides
Every major financial institution in the United States can now be connected to an AI assistant through Truthifi. Not in theory — right now. Bank accounts, brokerage portfolios, credit cards, retirement plans, insurance policies, student loans, mortgages. All of them. All read-only. All encrypted. And all accessible to AI through a single integration that takes under two minutes to set up.
These guides show you exactly how to connect your specific financial institution to AI assistants like Claude and ChatGPT through Truthifi's Model Context Protocol (MCP) connector. Each guide covers what data becomes available, what the AI can and can't do with it, and how to get the most value from a connected session.
What is Truthifi Connect? A read-only bridge between your financial accounts and AI assistants. Truthifi uses bank-grade encryption (AES-256) and supports 18,000+ institutions through Plaid and MX. The AI can see your data but cannot move money, execute trades, or access your login credentials.
Generic financial advice is everywhere. What remains rare is AI analysis built on your actual balances, your actual holdings, and your actual fees. That's the gap these guides help you close. Your financial advisor remains essential — AI surfaces what the numbers say, and your advisor translates it into a plan that accounts for your life, your goals, and the things a spreadsheet can't measure. Start by learning how to ask AI about your real accounts, then explore the topic guides below to find your specific institution.

How Truthifi Connect Works
The connection process is the same regardless of which AI assistant or financial institution you choose. Three steps, under two minutes.
Step 1: Link your accounts. Create a free Truthifi account and connect your financial institutions through Plaid or MX. This is the same secure connection technology used by Mint, Venmo, and thousands of other fintech apps.
Step 2: Activate the MCP connector. In your AI assistant's settings, enable the Truthifi MCP server. This gives the AI read-only access to your connected accounts — balances, holdings, transactions, and fees. It cannot move money, execute trades, or access your login credentials.
Step 3: Ask questions about your money. Start with something specific: "What are my total investment fees across all accounts?" or "Am I on track for retirement at 65?" The AI will pull your real data and give you an answer grounded in your actual financial situation.
Find Your Institution
Use the search below to find your specific bank, brokerage, credit card issuer, insurance company, or other financial institution. Each guide walks you through the connection process and shows you what AI can do with your account data.
Why Connection Matters
AI without access to your real financial data is financial advice theater. It can explain concepts, run hypothetical scenarios, and summarize general principles. But it can't tell you whether your portfolio is overconcentrated, whether your fees are above average, or whether your retirement savings will actually last — because it doesn't know what you own.
Connected AI changes that. It sees your real numbers and reasons from your actual situation. The guides above show you exactly how to make that connection for every major financial institution in the country. Your financial advisor remains your most important resource for making decisions — AI is the analytical layer that ensures those conversations start with accurate, complete data.
Start with any institution, any AI assistant. The connection takes two minutes. The insight lasts as long as you need it.
