Plaid is the default aggregator for Betterment. When 2FA is enabled, Betterment requires an app-specific password for third-party connections — your regular password won't work.
App Password
Plaid: Your regular Betterment password won't work here—you'll need to generate an app password first at Betterment → Settings → Security → App passwords.
Log in to your Betterment account at betterment.com.
Navigate to Settings → Security → App passwords.
Create a new app password and label it 'Truthifi'.
Copy the generated password — you won't see it again after closing.
Return to Truthifi, search for Betterment, and enter the app password (not your regular password) when prompted.
