If you bank with Truist, there's a decent chance you're not a one-account customer. A checking account, a debit or credit card, maybe a car loan or a mortgage, and for some customers a brokerage account too, all under one Truist relationship. The question this guide answers is simple: can an AI assistant actually see all of that, and can it net your Truist relationship against the accounts you hold somewhere else? As of this writing, Truist does not publish an official MCP server, but you can still get your Truist accounts in front of an AI assistant today, through Truthifi.

What Truist does

Truist is a bank, offering everyday depository products such as checking and savings accounts, debit and credit cards, and lending products including auto loans and mortgages. Depending on the customer, a Truist relationship can also extend into brokerage or wealth accounts. Truist's core business is holding and moving your money and extending credit, not building AI integrations, which is why the question of AI access has to be answered separately from the question of what Truist itself offers as a bank.

Does Truist have an MCP server?

No. As of this writing, there is no official Truist MCP server. MCP (Model Context Protocol) is the emerging standard that lets AI assistants connect directly to a service's data, and most banks, including Truist, have not published one. We'll revise this guide if that status changes. We also are not aware of a public developer API from Truist intended for this kind of individual account access, so we're not naming one here.

This doesn't mean your Truist accounts are invisible to AI. It means you need an aggregation layer in between, and that's what Truthifi provides.

How Truthifi reaches your Truist accounts

Truthifi doesn't connect to Truist directly. It reaches your Truist accounts through its aggregator partners, the same connection method used by thousands of other apps to link bank accounts. Once your Truist accounts are linked through Truthifi, your AI assistant can see them, alongside every other account you've connected, as one picture rather than a single bank's worth of data.

Setting up Truist with Truthifi

  1. Go to Truthifi and start a free account.

  2. Choose to connect an account, and search for Truist.

  3. Authorize the connection through the aggregator's secure login flow. Your Truist login credentials are entered with the aggregator, not with Truthifi.

  4. Confirm which Truist accounts to link — checking, card, loan, or brokerage, whichever apply to you.

  5. Connect your other accounts too — other banks, brokerages, or crypto exchanges — so your AI has the full picture, not just the Truist slice.

  6. Connect your AI assistant to Truthifi so it can read your linked data.

  7. Ask your AI assistant a question about your accounts and see it answer using your real, linked data.

What you can ask

Once it's connected, here's the kind of thing a Truist customer can ask their AI assistant through Truthifi:

  • "What's my total balance across all my Truist accounts right now?"

  • "How much do I owe across my Truist card and loan combined?"

  • "Net my Truist accounts against my other bank and brokerage accounts. What's my real total?"

  • "Did anything unusual post to my Truist checking account this week?"

  • "Am I carrying a balance on my Truist card, and what's it costing me?"

These are exactly the questions that are hard to answer by eye when a relationship spans several products, and effectively impossible to answer when the comparison point is accounts at other institutions entirely.

With and without Truthifi

Without Truthifi, your AI assistant knows nothing about your Truist accounts. It can't see your balance, your card activity, or your loan payoff, because there's no official Truist MCP server for it to read from. Any answer it gives about your finances is a guess or a generality.

With Truthifi, your AI assistant can see your checking balance, your card and loan balances, and any linked brokerage holdings, alongside everything you hold at other institutions. It can net your whole Truist relationship against the rest of your financial life in a single answer, instead of you doing that math by hand across several logins.

How Truthifi can help

This is the gap Truthifi was built to close. Truist, like most banks, is built to run your accounts, not to hand that data to an AI assistant. Truthifi sits in between: it links your Truist accounts through its aggregator partners, read-only for bank and brokerage accounts, and makes that data readable by the AI tools you already use. The result is that your Truist relationship becomes part of the single financial picture your AI can reason about, next to your other banks, your brokerage accounts, and anything else you link. Truthifi is not an investment adviser and doesn't give investment, tax or legal advice.

FAQ

Does Truist have an official MCP server? Not as of this writing. If Truist publishes one, this guide will be updated.

Does Truist have a public API I can connect to directly? We're not aware of one intended for this kind of individual account access, so we haven't named one here. Connecting through an aggregator is the practical path today.

Is my Truist login shared with Truthifi? No. Your credentials are entered directly with the aggregator that handles the connection, not with Truthifi.

Can my AI see my Truist brokerage account too, not just checking? Yes, if you link it. Truthifi can connect bank, brokerage, and other account types under your Truist relationship, not just checking.

Can my AI compare my Truist accounts to accounts at other banks? Yes. That comparison is the main point of connecting through Truthifi rather than just asking about Truist alone.
