How to Connect OpenClaw to Your Axos Advisor Services Account Using Truthifi

Searching for "OpenClaw Axos Advisor Services"? You're in the right place. Axos Advisor Services is the RIA custody platform of Axos Financial — built for boutique and mid-size independent advisors who want competitive pricing, integrated banking through Axos Bank, and a technology stack that actually focuses on smaller firms. Until now, getting "OpenClaw for Axos Advisor Services" meant running a local model on exported statement files, or paying a monthly AI subscription just to ask questions about your own custodial accounts.

Truthifi changes that. With an OpenClaw Axos Advisor Services connection using Truthifi, OpenClaw — a free, open-source MCP-aware AI client — can see your live Axos Advisor Services holdings, balances, and transaction history through the same read-only MCP infrastructure that powers the paid integrations. Truthifi normalizes Axos Advisor Services data on connection, fills Yodlee aggregation gaps, and stitches multi-account history into one clean timeline. Your Liberty platform credentials are never stored, and the connector cannot move money or place trades.

This guide walks you through setup (about 5 minutes), what Truthifi allows and blocks with your Axos Advisor Services data, and how to get useful portfolio analysis without paying a monthly AI subscription.

2. What You Need

  • Active Axos Advisor Services account via the Liberty platform portal

  • OpenClaw client (free / open source) — desktop or self-hosted

  • MFA (two-factor authentication) enabled on your Axos Advisor Services login

  • Free Truthifi account at truthifi.com

  • About 5 minutes for first-time setup

  • Want a hosted AI option? See /connect/chatgpt-axos-advisor-services

3. How to Connect OpenClaw to Your Axos Advisor Services Account

Ready to connect OpenClaw to financial accounts? Here's how to link OpenClaw to your Axos Advisor Services profile using Truthifi.

  1. Install OpenClaw. Download OpenClaw from openclaw.org (or self-host from the public repo). Launch the client and complete first-run setup.

  2. Add the Truthifi MCP server. In OpenClaw, open Settings → MCP Servers → Add Server. Enter Name: Truthifi, URL: https://api.truthifi.com/mcp. Save.

  3. Authorize your Axos Advisor Services accounts. OpenClaw opens Truthifi's OAuth screen in your browser. Sign in to your Truthifi account, choose Axos Advisor Services, complete the Yodlee aggregator handoff with your Liberty platform credentials and MFA, and pick which accounts (individual, IRA, trust, entity) to share with OpenClaw.

  4. Pick your local or remote model. OpenClaw works with local models (Llama, Mistral, and others) or remote API models you bring yourself. Pick one in Settings → Model. The Truthifi connector works the same regardless.

  5. Verify the connection. Ask: "List all my Axos Advisor Services accounts with current balances and top 5 holdings." If OpenClaw responds with your real figures, you're live.

[Connect OpenClaw to Axos Advisor Services →]

Your Axos Advisor Services account is now linked to OpenClaw for free, read-only portfolio analysis on your own terms.

4. Example Prompts for OpenClaw

  • Local Holdings Sheet — "Pull every holding across my Axos Advisor Services accounts. Output a markdown table sorted by dollar value, with account type, ticker, current value, and percentage of total portfolio. Save to my local notes folder."

  • Self-Hosted Fee Calculator — "Calculate the total visible fees across my Axos Advisor Services accounts — advisory fees and ETF expense ratios. Output as a CSV with fee type, dollar amount, and percentage of assets."

  • IRA Balance Tracker — "List all my Axos Advisor Services IRA accounts (Traditional, Roth, SEP) with current balances, contributions over the past 12 months, and any withdrawals. Output a clean summary I can hand to my tax preparer."

  • Concentration Audit — "Identify every position across my Axos Advisor Services accounts that exceeds 3% of my total portfolio. Output a flag list: ticker, dollar value, concentration percentage, and account it sits in."

  • Transaction Log Export — "Pull all transactions from my Axos Advisor Services accounts over the past 180 days. Output a CSV with date, account, type (buy/sell/dividend/fee), security, and dollar amount."

  • Privacy-First Portfolio Summary — "Using my Axos Advisor Services holdings, generate a one-page portfolio summary: total assets, asset-class breakdown, top 10 positions, and three questions I should raise with my advisor. Save as a markdown file locally."

  • Multi-Account Net Worth View — "Sum all my Axos Advisor Services account balances and give me a total custodial net worth figure. Break it out by account type (brokerage, IRA, trust, entity)."

  • Year-End Recap — "Generate a year-end Axos Advisor Services summary: starting and ending balances by account, net deposits and withdrawals, and the top three positions by change in value. Format as markdown."

5. Why Truthifi?

5.1. Security

Your Axos Advisor Services username and password never touch Truthifi's servers. Authentication occurs through Axos Advisor Services' aggregator partner (Yodlee), creating a read-only, protocol-enforced connection secured with AES-256 encryption. OpenClaw receives only scoped data tokens. You maintain complete control and can revoke access anytime from your Axos Advisor Services portal or your Truthifi dashboard.

5.2. Privacy

Your financial data stays under your complete control when using Truthifi. We never store login credentials from Axos Advisor Services or any institution. You decide which specific accounts OpenClaw can access. Data is not sold to third parties. Because OpenClaw can run with local models, you can keep the full reasoning chain on your own machine — no data leaves your hardware except the MCP request to Truthifi for live holdings and balance data.

5.3. Audit Trail

Every MCP data request is logged in your Truthifi dashboard, regardless of which AI client made it. When OpenClaw pulls Axos Advisor Services data into an answer, the timestamp and specific fields accessed are recorded. You can review the logs anytime to see exactly what OpenClaw touched.

5.4. Data Quality

Axos Advisor Services delivers raw custodial data through its aggregator partner. Security names, ticker symbols, and account labels can be inconsistent across the Yodlee feed. Truthifi rebuilds that history from the aggregation source, normalizes names and labels, and resolves statement-timing gaps — so OpenClaw and any local model you run with it work on clean data, not raw aggregator output.

6. About OpenClaw

OpenClaw is a free, open-source MCP-aware AI client. It can run with local models (Llama, Mistral, and other open-weights models) or remote API models that you bring yourself. There is no OpenClaw subscription — you download the client, point it at whatever model you want, and connect MCP servers like Truthifi to give it data.

For Axos Advisor Services specifically, OpenClaw is the right choice when you want: (1) no monthly subscription, (2) maximum control over which model sees your custodial data, or (3) the ability to run analysis entirely on your own hardware. OpenClaw doesn't have the polish of the hosted assistants, but it gets you the same Axos Advisor Services account data through the same read-only Truthifi MCP connector — for free.

7. About Axos Advisor Services

Axos Advisor Services is the RIA custody and clearing division of Axos Financial, Inc., headquartered in San Diego, California. Originally Trust Company of America (TCA), it was acquired by E*TRADE in 2018 for $275 million, then sold by Morgan Stanley to Axos Financial in 2021, rebranding as Axos Advisor Services. As of March 31, 2026, approximately $44.0 billion in assets are under custody and/or administration — up from $37.1 billion the prior year — serving more than 200 active RIA firms through the Liberty platform.

The platform targets boutique and mid-size independent advisors ($50M–$500M AUM) with competitive custody pricing and integrated banking through parent Axos Bank.

  • Headquarters: San Diego, CA (custody operations Denver, CO area)

  • Founded: 1999 (parent Axos Bank); Axos Advisor Services brand launched 2021

  • Parent: Axos Financial, Inc.

  • Assets under custody/administration: Approximately $44.0 billion (as of March 31, 2026)

8. Frequently Asked Questions

Is it safe to connect my Axos Advisor Services account using Truthifi?

Yes. Your login happens on the Liberty platform's own authentication flow through the Yodlee aggregator handoff. Your username, password, and MFA codes never pass through Truthifi's servers. OpenClaw receives only a scoped, read-only data token — it cannot move money, place trades, or change account settings. Every data request is logged, and you can revoke access at any time. Full details at https://truthifi.com/security.

Truthifi security overview →

What can Truthifi actually do with my Axos Advisor Services data?

Truthifi pulls holdings, balances, transaction history, and account metadata from your Axos Advisor Services accounts and exposes them to OpenClaw through a read-only MCP connector. OpenClaw can summarize your portfolio, audit fees, flag concentration risks, generate local transaction logs, and write summaries to your filesystem. It cannot move money, place trades, or change account settings.

Do I need a paid OpenClaw plan to use this with Axos Advisor Services?

No. OpenClaw is free and open source. There is no subscription. You install the client, point it at a model (local or remote), and connect Truthifi as an MCP server. The only paid layer would be if you choose to use a paid remote model API — but that's optional, not required.

Can I run OpenClaw with a fully local model so nothing leaves my machine?

Yes. OpenClaw supports local models (Llama, Mistral, and others). With a local model, the reasoning stays on your hardware. The only data that leaves your machine is the MCP request to Truthifi, which is required to fetch your live Axos Advisor Services holdings and balances. Many privacy-focused investors and advisors prefer this setup.

Where is my Axos Advisor Services data stored?

Your holdings and transaction data is fetched on demand from Axos Advisor Services' aggregator feed via Truthifi, used during the active OpenClaw session, and not retained in OpenClaw memory between sessions unless you explicitly save it to your filesystem. Truthifi caches a normalized history so OpenClaw has consistent context, and you can clear it from your dashboard at any time.

How do I disconnect OpenClaw from Truthifi?

Open OpenClaw → Settings → MCP Servers → find Truthifi → Remove. You can also revoke access from your Axos Advisor Services portal or your Truthifi dashboard. Disconnecting OpenClaw does not affect any other AI you have connected through Truthifi.

What about my financial advisor?

OpenClaw does not replace your advisor. It gives you a free, private way to look at your custodial data between meetings — useful for holdings reviews, fee questions, and prep for advisor conversations.

How is OpenClaw different from ChatGPT, Claude, Grok, and Perplexity for Axos Advisor Services?

OpenClaw is free and open-source — the others are paid hosted services. ChatGPT and Claude offer polished hosted analysis. Perplexity adds live web citations for benchmarks and market data. Grok adds real-time X context. OpenClaw gives you control and zero recurring cost, at the price of a little more setup. The data quality is identical across all five because Truthifi is the same connector.

Can I use OpenClaw for Axos Advisor Services without trusting any cloud AI provider?

Yes — pair OpenClaw with a local model. The only cloud touchpoint is the Truthifi MCP server itself (required to reach Axos Advisor Services' aggregator feed). No third-party AI cloud sees your custodial data.

Can I connect both OpenClaw and ChatGPT to my Axos Advisor Services account?

Yes. Each AI connection using Truthifi is independent. You can use OpenClaw for daily privacy-focused queries and ChatGPT (or Claude, etc.) for occasional polished analysis. Revoke either anytime without affecting the other.

Does this replace the Axos Advisor Services Liberty platform portal?

No. The Liberty platform portal remains the system of record for your accounts. OpenClaw + Truthifi is for analysis.

Do I need technical skills to use OpenClaw?

You need a little more comfort with software setup than the hosted assistants require — installing a client, picking a model, configuring MCP. There are guides in the OpenClaw repo. Once it's set up, the day-to-day experience is similar to the hosted AIs.

Who can see my Axos Advisor Services data?

Only you, your chosen model, and the OpenClaw session you're running. If you use a local model, the model lives on your machine. If you use a remote model API, that provider sees the data you send it. Truthifi does not sell data and does not share it with advertisers.

Subject to whichever model provider you choose (or no third party, if you run local).

9. MCP Integration Paths

MCP (Model Context Protocol) is the open standard that lets AI agents like OpenClaw talk to external data sources through a structured, read-only interface. When you connect OpenClaw to Axos Advisor Services using Truthifi, you are using a Truthifi MCP connector — infrastructure that translates the model's natural-language requests into safe, scoped MCP API calls against your live Axos Advisor Services data.

Truthifi runs MCP servers across finance: MCP banking, MCP investment, MCP brokerage, MCP crypto. Each connector is read-only, protocol-enforced, and audit-logged. For Axos Advisor Services, the MCP investment integration covers custodial brokerage, IRA, trust, and entity accounts through the Yodlee aggregation path.

For developers, Truthifi's MCP API is documented for custom MCP integration work. Because OpenClaw is open source, it's a great starting point if you want to fork the client, embed Truthifi's MCP connector into your own RIA tooling, or build a fully self-hosted portfolio dashboard. The same security model applies: no credentials, read-only scopes, full audit trail.

Informational only. Not financial advice. Consult a qualified financial advisor before making investment decisions. Truthifi is an independent platform and is not affiliated with Axos Advisor Services or Axos Financial, Inc. This guide reflects current product functionality as of June 2026.
