If your financial advisor runs their practice on Orion, your AI assistant still can't see your portfolio by asking Orion directly. Orion is built for advisors, not for a household's AI assistant to log into. Orion has no public, consumer-facing MCP server to connect to. The practical path is Truthifi: it reads the actual bank, brokerage and investment accounts your advisor manages directly through Plaid, Yodlee or By All Accounts, and makes that real data available to any MCP-capable assistant, in minutes.

What Orion does

Orion is a technology platform built for financial advisors and wealth management firms, not for individual investors to log into directly. Advisory practices use it for portfolio accounting, performance reporting, billing, rebalancing and the other back-office and client-reporting work that sits behind a financial advisor's day-to-day business. If your advisor uses Orion, you may see Orion-branded performance reports or a client portal, but Orion itself is the practice's software, not a consumer banking or brokerage app with its own tradable account.

That distinction matters for what an AI assistant can and can't do with Orion. Orion isn't the place where your money actually sits — your money sits at the custodians and brokerages your advisor uses, and Orion aggregates and reports on that data for the advisor's workflow.

Does Orion have an MCP server or API?

There is no official Orion MCP server as of this writing. Orion is a B2B advisor platform, and its integrations are generally built for the advisory firms and technology partners it works with, not for a household's personal AI assistant to connect to directly. If Orion publishes a public, consumer-facing developer API in the future, that would be a separate question from whether your AI assistant can see your actual account data — the two aren't the same thing, because Orion itself isn't the custodian of your assets.

How Truthifi reaches your Orion-managed accounts

Truthifi doesn't connect to Orion directly. Instead, it reads the underlying bank, brokerage and investment accounts that you — or your household — link to Truthifi, the same accounts your advisor's Orion reporting is built from. That means the practical way to get an AI view of what Orion manages for you isn't through Orion at all. It's through Truthifi, connected straight to your accounts.

Setting up Truthifi to see your Orion-managed accounts

  1. Create a free Truthifi account.

  2. Link the bank, brokerage and investment accounts your advisor manages through Orion, along with any other accounts you want your AI to see.

  3. Let Truthifi pull in balances, holdings and transactions from those linked accounts.

  4. Bring an MCP-capable AI assistant into Truthifi and connect it.

  5. Authorize the connection using the Authorize button — never "Allow" — so your assistant can read what Truthifi has linked.

  6. Ask your assistant questions about your real household accounts, including the ones your advisor manages.

What you can ask

Once Truthifi is connected, an investor whose advisor uses Orion — or the advisor themselves, thinking about their own household finances — can ask their AI assistant things like:

  • "What's my total exposure to large-cap tech across my connected accounts, including the ones my advisor manages?"

  • "How have my fees changed over the past few statements?"

  • "Where is my household concentrated, outside of what shows up in my advisor's reports?"

  • "What's my full net worth across everything I hold, not just what's in Orion's performance report?"

These are household-side questions. Orion answers advisor-side questions about client books, billing and performance reporting. Truthifi is what lets your personal AI assistant reason across your whole financial picture, including the accounts your advisor happens to manage on Orion.

With and without Truthifi

Without Truthifi, your AI assistant has no way to see what's inside the accounts your advisor manages through Orion. Orion isn't built to connect to a consumer AI assistant, so your assistant is left guessing, or you're manually copying numbers out of a PDF performance report to ask it a question.

With Truthifi, your AI assistant can read the real bank, brokerage and investment accounts behind that Orion reporting — because Truthifi connects straight to the accounts themselves, not to Orion's advisor-side software.

How Truthifi can help

Truthifi exists to give your AI assistant a read-only window into your real accounts, including the ones your financial advisor manages day to day. That read-only reach covers only your bank and brokerage accounts. Your advisor's use of Orion is one piece of your financial life; Truthifi is built to show the whole picture, across the accounts you choose to link, not just the slice an advisor's platform reports on. Truthifi is the necessary bridge between your real financial data and any AI assistant you want to use — Orion is excellent at what it does for advisors, and Truthifi is what lets your own AI see the full picture around it. Truthifi is not an investment adviser and doesn't give investment, tax or legal advice.

FAQ

Does Orion have an MCP server? No. There is no official Orion MCP server as of this writing. Orion is a B2B platform built for advisory firms, not a consumer app with its own AI integration.

Can my AI assistant connect to Orion directly? Not through any official Orion channel we're aware of. Orion doesn't offer a consumer-facing connection for AI assistants, since it isn't the custodian of your assets and isn't built for individual investor logins.

How does Truthifi get access to what Orion manages for me? Truthifi doesn't connect to Orion. It connects to the underlying bank, brokerage and investment accounts you link directly, which are the same accounts your advisor's Orion reporting draws from.

Is this read-only? Yes. Read-only access through Truthifi is scoped to your bank and brokerage accounts.

Do I need to tell my advisor I'm doing this? That's your choice. Connecting Truthifi to your own accounts is independent of how your advisor uses Orion internally.
