Short answer: there's no official Redtail CRM MCP server as of this writing, and even if there were, it would describe the advisory practice, not the household's accounts. Redtail CRM is built for the advisor's office, not for a client-facing AI assistant to query directly. If you're an advisor using Redtail or a client whose advisor uses it, and you want an AI assistant that can actually reason about real household finances, the path runs through the accounts themselves, not through Redtail. That's where Truthifi comes in.

What Redtail CRM does

Redtail CRM is a customer relationship management platform built for financial advisors and wealth management practices. It helps advisory firms track client relationships, document workflows, manage compliance records, and coordinate the operational side of running a book of business. It's practice-facing software: the people who log into Redtail are advisors, their support staff, and office administrators, not the end investor checking their own portfolio.

That distinction matters for anyone asking whether an AI assistant can "see" Redtail. Redtail stores practice-management data about clients. It is not a bank, brokerage, or custodian, and it is not the system of record for what's actually inside a household's investment accounts.

Does Redtail CRM have an MCP server or API?

There is no official Redtail CRM MCP server as of this writing. If Redtail publishes one in the future, the right move for an AI assistant would be to connect to it directly for practice-level CRM data: contact records, notes, workflow status, and the like.

We're not aware of a public developer API for Redtail CRM that would change this picture for a household-side AI use case.

Either way, an official Redtail MCP server — if one ever ships — would expose CRM and practice-management data, not a household's live account balances, holdings, or transactions. Those live inside the banks, brokerages, and custodians the household's money actually sits with, which is a different integration problem entirely.

How an AI assistant actually gets household financial visibility

Because Redtail CRM isn't a consumer account and Truthifi doesn't connect to Redtail directly, the way an AI assistant gets real household financial visibility is by reading the underlying bank, brokerage, and card accounts the household links to Truthifi. Truthifi then makes that data available to MCP-capable AI assistants. The practice management stays in Redtail; the household's actual financial picture becomes something an AI assistant can see and reason about through Truthifi.

Setting up AI access to your household's accounts through Truthifi

  1. Create a free Truthifi account.

  2. Link your bank, brokerage, and card accounts to Truthifi — the accounts your advisor's Redtail CRM record is built around, but which live at the actual custodians.

  3. Let Truthifi run its account checks so your linked accounts are read and organized correctly.

  4. Open your AI assistant's connector or settings screen and locate the option to add an MCP connection.

  5. Select Truthifi and complete the Authorize step to grant your assistant read-only access.

  6. Ask your assistant a question about your accounts to confirm the connection is live.

  7. Revoke access anytime from Connections → Agents → ⋯ → Revoke.

What you can ask once it's connected

Once your household accounts are linked and your AI assistant is connected through Truthifi, you can ask things like:

  • "What's my total exposure across all my accounts right now?"

  • "How does my portfolio's fee drag compare across the accounts my advisor manages and the ones I manage myself?"

  • "List every account I hold, by institution, in one view."

  • "Did anything change in my accounts this week?"

None of these questions can be answered by querying Redtail CRM, because Redtail doesn't hold the household's live account data. They can be answered once an AI assistant has read-only access to the accounts themselves, which is what connecting through Truthifi provides.

With and without Truthifi

Without Truthifi: Your advisor's Redtail CRM record holds notes, contact history, and workflow status about you as a client. It does not give your AI assistant anything to query about your actual balances, holdings, or transactions, because that's not what Redtail is built to store or expose.

With Truthifi: Your AI assistant gets read-only visibility into the bank, brokerage, and card accounts you've linked to Truthifi, regardless of which CRM your advisor uses behind the scenes. Redtail keeps doing its job on the practice side. Truthifi gives you and your AI assistant the household-side view that Redtail was never designed to provide.

How Truthifi can help

Truthifi isn't a replacement for Redtail CRM, and it isn't trying to be. Redtail serves advisors managing their practice. Truthifi serves the household: aggregating the accounts a person actually holds, running diagnostic checks on fees, concentration, and exposure, and exposing all of it, read-only, to any MCP-capable AI assistant. For an investor whose advisor runs on Redtail, Truthifi is the bridge between "what my advisor's system shows" and "what an AI assistant can actually see and help me understand." That includes accounts and assets your advisor may not manage at all. Truthifi is not an investment adviser and doesn't give investment, tax or legal advice.

FAQ

Does Redtail CRM have an official MCP server? No official Redtail CRM MCP server exists as of this writing. We'll revise this page should that change.

Can my AI assistant see what's in my advisor's Redtail CRM record? Not directly, and that's not really the useful question. Redtail holds practice-management data about the advisory relationship, not your live account balances or holdings. What you want is an AI assistant that can see your actual accounts, which is a different connection entirely.

How does Truthifi connect to Redtail CRM? It doesn't. Truthifi reads the bank, brokerage, and card accounts you link directly to Truthifi. It has no connection to your advisor's Redtail CRM record.

Is my connection to Truthifi read-only? Yes, for your linked bank and brokerage accounts. Truthifi does not take any action on those accounts.

Do I need to tell my advisor I'm doing this? That's your call. Connecting your own accounts to Truthifi for your own AI assistant's visibility doesn't require your advisor's Redtail CRM setup to change in any way.
