Short answer: Tamarac itself has no official MCP server as of this writing, and it isn't a consumer account you'd connect to an AI assistant anyway. Tamarac is the software your advisor runs behind the scenes. If you want an AI assistant that can actually see and reason about your household's real holdings, the practical path is to connect your underlying bank, brokerage and card accounts to Truthifi. Truthifi does support MCP, and it can bridge that data to assistants that support MCP sign-in.
That distinction matters, so it's worth spending a moment on it before getting to setup.
What Tamarac does
Tamarac is a practice-management and portfolio-reporting platform built for registered investment advisors, part of Envestnet. Advisory firms use it to run rebalancing, billing, performance reporting and client portal functions across their book of business. It is a B2B tool. As an investor, you don't log into Tamarac the way you log into a bank or brokerage account. Your advisor's firm does that, and what you may see is a client-facing portal or reports that Tamarac generates on the advisor's behalf.
That makes Tamarac fundamentally different from a bank or brokerage you'd connect directly to a financial app. It's infrastructure for the advisor's practice, not a consumer account with its own login and holdings feed that an outside tool connects to.
Does Tamarac have an MCP server or API?
There is no official Tamarac MCP server as of this writing. Should that change, we'll revise this page accordingly. Tamarac is built around advisor-facing workflows and integrations with custodians and other advisor-side systems, not a consumer-facing developer API meant for individual AI assistants to query directly.
Because of that, and because Tamarac is a B2B advisor platform rather than an account you personally hold, Truthifi does not connect to Tamarac directly. Truthifi gives your AI assistant programmatic, read-only access to the bank, brokerage and card accounts you link yourself, including brokerage or custodial accounts held at the same institution your advisor uses, if you choose to link them independently. That's the practical bridge: instead of waiting on Tamarac to open an MCP door, you connect the underlying accounts to Truthifi and your AI assistant can see them today.
Setting up AI access to your household accounts through Truthifi
Create a free Truthifi account and start the setup flow.
Link the bank, brokerage and crypto accounts that make up your household's actual holdings — including the accounts your advisor manages on Tamarac, connected from the custodian or brokerage side.
Connect your preferred AI assistant or agent to Truthifi over MCP.
On the Authorize screen, approve the connection — this is the Authorize button, not a generic "Allow" prompt.
Ask your AI assistant questions about your accounts and let Truthifi supply the underlying, read-only data.
Revisit access any time from Connections → Agents → ⋯ → Revoke if you want to disconnect an agent.
What you can ask once it's connected
Once your household accounts are linked, you (if your advisor uses Tamarac) can ask your own AI assistant things like:
"What's my total exposure to large-cap tech across every account I hold, not just the ones my advisor actively manages?"
"Compare the cash balance sitting in my checking account to what's invested through my advisor."
"Flag any account I haven't mentioned to my advisor that might change my overall allocation."
"Summarize my household's full balance sheet across banks, brokerages and the portfolio my advisor runs."
Tamarac's own reporting can tell you a great deal about the piece your advisor manages. It generally won't reach outside accounts your advisor doesn't have on the platform — which is exactly the gap a household-side AI connection is built to close.
With and without Truthifi
Without Truthifi, your AI assistant has no path into Tamarac and no path into the household accounts behind it. Any question about your full financial picture requires you to manually gather statements, log into each account, or wait on whatever reports your advisor's firm sends you.
With Truthifi, your AI assistant can see the real, current state of the bank, brokerage and crypto accounts you've linked yourself, including brokerage or custodial accounts your advisor uses if you link them independently, and reason across all of them at once rather than just the slice captured in one advisor's reporting stack.
How Truthifi can help
Truthifi is designed to work alongside a platform like Tamarac, giving your household a fuller picture without taking over what your advisor's systems do. Tamarac keeps doing what it does well on the advisor's side: billing, rebalancing, compliance-grade reporting. Truthifi fills the gap on the household's side by giving your AI assistant a read-only, programmatic view into the accounts that make up your real financial life, including the ones your advisor manages, plus everything else — accounts at other institutions, assets you track by hand, and anything your advisor's platform was never set up to see.
That combination means you're not choosing between "trust your advisor's tools" and "get AI visibility into your own money." You get both: the advisor-grade management Tamarac provides, and a household-side AI lens across the accounts you link, advised or not. On that note, Truthifi is not an investment adviser and doesn't give investment, tax or legal advice.
FAQ
Does Tamarac have an official MCP server? No. As of this writing there is no official Tamarac MCP server, and we'll revise this page if that status changes.
Can my AI assistant connect directly to Tamarac? No. Tamarac is a B2B platform for advisory firms, not a consumer account with its own login for outside tools to connect to. Truthifi instead reads the underlying bank, brokerage and card accounts your household holds.
If my advisor uses Tamarac, can Truthifi still show me those holdings? Yes, indirectly. You link the actual brokerage or custodial accounts your advisor manages to Truthifi, the same way you'd link any other account, and your AI assistant can see and reason about them alongside everything else in your household.
Is my advisor's login or Tamarac access shared with Truthifi? No. Truthifi connects to the bank, brokerage and card accounts you link yourself. It does not connect to Tamarac or to your advisor's systems.
Will this replace what my advisor does on Tamarac? No. Tamarac supports the advisor's management, billing and reporting work. Truthifi is a household-side addition that gives your AI assistant visibility into the full picture, including the accounts you link that your advisor manages and everything else.
