Searching for "Claude First Horizon"? You're in the right place. Your First Horizon account holds the practical machinery of your Southeast financial life: checking balances, savings goals, money market deposits, CD maturities, IRA contributions, mortgage payments, and wealth management positions. Until now, getting "AI for First Horizon" with Claude meant manually pasting account snippets into prompts, attaching CSV exports, and re-explaining your situation every conversation.
By Scott Blandford, Founder & CEO of Truthifi | Reviewed by Mike Young
Truthifi changes that. With a Claude First Horizon connection through Truthifi, Claude can see your live First Horizon balances, transaction history, CD ladder, and wealth management positions — all through Claude's native MCP support. Truthifi rebuilds your historical data on connection: it fills gaps, corrects categorization errors, and resolves merchant naming inconsistencies, so Claude works with clean, normalized data from day one. All of this happens through a read-only MCP connector that never touches your credentials and cannot move money between your First Horizon accounts.
This guide walks you through setup (about 5 minutes), explains exactly what Truthifi allows and blocks with your First Horizon data, and shows you how to apply Claude's structured reasoning to your real Memphis-region banking data.
What You Need
First Horizon account with online banking access (Checking, Savings, Money Market, CDs, IRAs, Mortgage, or Wealth Management)
Claude Pro plan ($20/mo) with Connectors enabled

How to Connect Claude to Your First Horizon Account
Ready to give Claude live access to your First Horizon accounts? Follow this exact flow.
Open Settings in Claude — Go to claude.ai. Click your profile → Settings → Connectors.
Add the Truthifi connector — Click Add custom connector. Enter Name: Truthifi, URL: https://api.truthifi.com/mcp. Save.
Authorize your First Horizon accounts — Claude redirects you to Truthifi's OAuth screen. Sign in to your Truthifi account, choose First Horizon from the institution picker, authenticate with your First Horizon username, password, and MFA on First Horizon's domain (via BAA, Plaid, or Yodlee — Truthifi auto-routes to whichever provider gives the cleanest mapping for your account mix), select which First Horizon accounts to share with Claude, confirm the read-only scope, and click Authorize.
Enable Truthifi in your conversation — In a new Claude chat, click the connectors icon and enable Truthifi. Claude keeps connectors active across conversations once enabled, so you usually don't have to re-toggle each session.
Verify the connection — Send: "Show me my First Horizon checking balance and the last 10 transactions, with merchant names cleaned up." If Claude returns your actual First Horizon activity, the connection is live.
You've now linked your First Horizon account to Claude — Claude can reason over your real Southeast banking data going forward.
Example Prompts for Claude
Structured Cash Flow Memo — "Using my First Horizon checking and money market activity for the last 6 months, write me a one-page cash flow memo. Open with a single-paragraph summary, then a table of monthly inflows vs. outflows, then a categorized breakdown of Memphis-area vs. out-of-region spending, then three concrete actions I should take this quarter."
CD Ladder Strategy Brief — "Review my First Horizon CD ladder and write a strategy brief. Cover: current rung structure, weighted average yield, mismatch between maturities and my known cash needs, comparison to current First Horizon promo rates, and a renewal recommendation for each rung. Use clear headings and a final summary table."
Mortgage Refinance Decision Memo — "Read my First Horizon mortgage balance, rate, remaining term, and the last 24 months of payments. Then write a refinance decision memo: break-even analysis at three hypothetical new rates, total interest impact, and a recommendation. Cite each number against the underlying account data."
IRA Contribution Plan — "Pull my First Horizon IRA year-to-date contributions and compare to the current IRS limit. Then build a month-by-month contribution plan to max it out by year-end, accounting for my checking account cushion. Output the plan as a markdown table."
Wealth Management Fee Audit — "Review every fee charged on my First Horizon wealth management account in the past 12 months: advisory fees, expense ratios, transaction costs, account fees. For each, show the dollar amount, the percentage of assets, and what that fee would compound to over 10, 20, and 30 years at a 7% return. Write your reasoning explicitly."
Net Worth Statement — "Aggregate all my First Horizon accounts — checking, savings, money market, CDs, IRA, mortgage, wealth management — into a single net worth statement. Show assets, liabilities, and the 24-month trend. Then write a one-paragraph interpretation of what the trend implies about my savings trajectory."
Memphis Local Spending Pattern — "Categorize my First Horizon checking transactions over the past 12 months into Memphis-area, broader Southeast, national-online, and out-of-region. Analyze the trend and tell me, with reasoning, whether my spending is becoming more or less geographically diversified."
Tax-Loss Harvesting Candidate List — "Pull every taxable position in my First Horizon wealth management account, identify unrealized losses, and produce a tax-loss harvesting candidate list. For each candidate, note holding period, unrealized loss, replacement candidate that maintains similar exposure without wash sale, and estimated tax benefit at a 24% federal bracket."
Bank Relationship Score — "Score my overall First Horizon relationship across five dimensions: deposit yield competitiveness, fee burden, product breadth, advisor value, and ease of digital experience based on transaction data. Give each a 1-10 score with one-sentence justification, then a summary recommendation."
Compare First Horizon to Peers — "Compare my First Horizon deposit yields and fee structure to publicly available rates from Frost Bank, Comerica, and UMB Bank. Calculate the annual dollar impact at my current balance and tell me whether switching primary banks would be worth the friction."
Why Truthifi?
5.1. Security
Your First Horizon username, password, and MFA code never touch Truthifi's servers. Authentication occurs directly on your provider's domain through BAA, Plaid, or Yodlee, creating a read-only, protocol-enforced connection secured with AES-256 encryption. Claude receives only scoped data tokens, never your actual credentials. You maintain complete control and can revoke access anytime at First Horizon's connected apps settings or through your Truthifi dashboard.
5.2. Privacy
Your financial data stays under your complete control when using Truthifi with Claude. We never store login credentials from First Horizon or any financial institution. You decide which specific First Horizon accounts Claude can access — share only your checking, only your wealth management, or every account type. Data never gets sold to third parties, and connecting Claude doesn't grant access to other AI tools.
5.3. Audit Trail
Every MCP data request is logged with complete session details for transparency. When Claude accesses your First Horizon checking, CD ladder, IRA, or wealth management data, the timestamp and specific information retrieved gets recorded automatically. You maintain full visibility into which financial details were accessed during each Claude conversation. This comprehensive tracking ensures you always know exactly what happened with your First Horizon information.
5.4. Data Quality
When First Horizon delivers raw transaction data through its data providers, Truthifi rebuilds historical information from BAA, Plaid, and Yodlee to correct inconsistencies. Our normalization process fills data gaps, deduplicates pending vs. posted transactions, and resolves merchant naming mismatches. This approach ensures up to 10 years of clean, accurate transaction history — particularly valuable when your mortgage or deposit account was originated under IBERIABANK before the 2020 merger and you need a continuous view that spans both systems.
About Claude
Claude is Anthropic's reasoning-first AI assistant. Compared to other agents, Claude tends to be more careful with numerical reasoning, more willing to show its work, and more aware of its own limitations — making it well-suited to financial analysis where intermediate steps matter. Claude was designed with constitutional AI safety principles, which is part of why MCP support was integrated natively rather than as a plugin layer.
Claude Pro at $20/mo is the minimum tier that supports custom MCP connectors. With Truthifi connected, Claude can read your live First Horizon data, run multi-step calculations on it, and produce structured memos, comparison tables, and decision briefs. Unlike conversational AIs that summarize what you paste in, Claude pulls live First Horizon balances and transactions through the MCP layer for each query — so every analysis reflects today's data, not a snapshot.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is it safe to connect my First Horizon account to Claude through Truthifi?
Connecting through First Horizon's authentication via BAA, Plaid, or Yodlee ensures your login credentials stay on First Horizon's own secure servers. When you connect, you're redirected to First Horizon's domain to log in directly with your username, password, and MFA code, then grant specific read-only permissions before returning to Truthifi. Your credentials never pass through our systems.
Claude receives only a scoped data token with read-only access, meaning it cannot move money between your First Horizon accounts, place wires, or change account settings. Every data request is logged for transparency, and you maintain full control through First Horizon's connected apps settings or our dashboard.
What does Truthifi allow Claude to do with my First Horizon data — and what does it block?
When you connect Claude to First Horizon, the AI cannot move money, originate ACH, place wires, or change account settings. The read-only access token from BAA, Plaid, or Yodlee prevents Claude from executing any transactions on your First Horizon account. Instead, Claude can write structured analyses of your spending categories, build CD ladder strategy briefs, run mortgage payoff scenarios, audit wealth management fees, and aggregate net worth across accounts.
Your First Horizon banker and wealth advisor still provide tailored guidance based on your full picture; Claude supplements that with always-available analysis between meetings.
Why use Claude rather than another AI for First Horizon analysis?
Claude is particularly strong at multi-step reasoning, explicit calculation, and structured writing. For First Horizon analyses where the numbers matter — CD ladder strategy, mortgage refinance breakeven, wealth management fee compounding — Claude tends to show intermediate work, flag assumptions, and produce documents you can take to your banker. It's also more cautious about confident assertions on uncertain topics.
What First Horizon account types does Truthifi support for Claude?
Truthifi supports connecting your First Horizon Checking, Savings, Money Market, CDs, IRAs, Mortgage, and Wealth Management accounts through its read-only MCP connector. Each account type is linked with the same security architecture — no transfers, no wires, no changes to your First Horizon settings. You can connect multiple account types simultaneously for a complete picture.
How does Truthifi compare to other options for Claude users?
Feature | Truthifi + Claude | Pasting CSVs | No Connection |
|---|---|---|---|
Live First Horizon data | Live at query time | Stale at paste time | Not available |
Read-only access | Protocol-enforced | N/A | N/A |
Credential storage | Never stored | N/A | N/A |
Multi-account view | Unified across First Horizon | One paste at a time | N/A |
CD maturity tracking | Automatic | Manual | N/A |
Merger-era data (pre-2020 IBERIABANK) | Reconciled automatically | Inconsistent | N/A |
Reasoning quality | Claude over clean data | Claude over messy data | N/A |
How do I disconnect Claude from Truthifi?
To disconnect Claude from Truthifi, go to Settings → Connectors → find Truthifi → Disconnect or Remove. You can also revoke access directly from First Horizon's online banking under connected apps. This won't affect your other AI connections, and Claude will stop receiving your First Horizon data once disconnected.
Does the Claude connection work for First Horizon accounts opened pre-2020 IBERIABANK merger?
Yes. If your account originated under IBERIABANK and migrated to First Horizon during systems integration, Truthifi pulls the current First Horizon account record through BAA, Plaid, or Yodlee. Where pre-merger transaction history is fragmented, Truthifi's normalization layer reconciles the two histories so Claude sees a continuous timeline.
Do I need a paid Claude plan?
Yes. To use Claude with Truthifi and First Horizon, you need a Claude Pro subscription at $20/mo or higher. Custom MCP connectors are not available on the Free tier.
Where is my data stored?
Claude does not retain First Horizon account data between conversations. Truthifi delivers data into your active Claude session via MCP — the data is not persisted in Claude's memory across threads.
Do I need to re-enable Truthifi each Claude conversation?
Claude generally keeps connectors enabled across conversations once you turn them on. You don't have to re-toggle each session the way you would in ChatGPT.
Does Claude replace my First Horizon advisor?
No. Claude offers data analysis, not advisory services. Your First Horizon wealth management advisor knows you and the regional Southeast market; Claude helps you arrive at advisor conversations with clean numbers and pre-built analyses.
What is Truthifi?
Truthifi serves as an independent financial data platform that enables you to connect Claude to financial accounts from over 18,000 US institutions, including First Horizon. The service operates on a subscription model and does not sell data, earn commissions, or sell financial products.
Who can see my First Horizon data?
No external parties can access your First Horizon account information when using Claude through Truthifi. Only Claude receives your data during active conversations.
Subject to Claude usage policies.
Can I connect both Claude and ChatGPT to my First Horizon account?
Yes. Each AI connection through Truthifi is independent. Connecting Claude does not expose your First Horizon data to ChatGPT, and vice versa. You can revoke either without affecting the other.
Can Claude compare First Horizon to other regional Southeast banks?
Yes. If you connect accounts from other regional banks, Claude can produce structured comparisons of deposit yields, fee schedules, and CD rates. See claude-frost-bank for Texas-based Frost Bank or claude-comerica for Comerica.
Can Claude help with tax planning on First Horizon accounts?
Claude can surface tax-relevant data — interest income from CDs and money markets, IRA contribution status, mortgage interest paid — and write up a tax-prep memo. Claude is not a tax advisor; take its output to a CPA.
What types of accounts can I connect beyond First Horizon?
Truthifi supports over 18,000 US institutions. You can connect Claude to brokerage accounts, additional bank checking and savings, retirement accounts, HSAs, credit cards, mortgages, and more. Once connected, Claude can produce a unified analysis across every connected account.
Is there a fee from Truthifi or First Horizon for this?
First Horizon does not charge for read-only data access through BAA, Plaid, or Yodlee. Truthifi has its own subscription tiers — see truthifi.com/pricing. Claude Pro at $20/mo is required for custom MCP connectors.

AI Financial Dashboard — Once you link First Horizon, Claude can aggregate your checking, savings, money market, CDs, IRA, mortgage, and wealth management positions into one structured dashboard alongside any other institutions you've connected.
AI Banking Analysis — Claude analyzes First Horizon deposit yields, fee load, and CD ladder structure against regional Southeast peers and writes the analysis as a structured memo you can take to your banker.
AI Mortgage & Lending — Claude can read your First Horizon mortgage balance, rate, and term and produce refinance breakeven analyses, payoff acceleration scenarios, and amortization explanations with explicit step-by-step math.
AI CD Ladder Management — Truthifi surfaces CD maturity dates and rates so Claude can model renewal scenarios, compare to current promotional rates, and write a per-rung renewal strategy brief.
AI Wealth Management Reporting — Claude can read your First Horizon wealth management positions, surface expense ratios, calculate concentration risk, and benchmark performance against standard allocations — and explain its reasoning at each step.
AI Compliance & Security — AI fraud detection, AI identity verification, AI KYC, AI RegTech, and AI regulatory compliance. Truthifi builds these principles into every layer of its connector.
Compare Other Regional Banks — To benchmark First Horizon, see claude-frost-bank for Texas-based Frost Bank, claude-comerica for Comerica, or claude-umb-bank for UMB Bank.
