The relationship between your SEI advisor or firm and ChatGPT is complementary. The advisor builds and manages the portfolios, sets models, and handles planning strategy. ChatGPT, with read-only SEI data using Truthifi, helps you understand what is happening between meetings — your allocation, your fees, your performance, and whether your accounts align with the plan.
What SEI account types does Truthifi support?
Truthifi supports SEI managed accounts, brokerage accounts, retirement accounts (IRA, 401(k)), trust accounts, investment management programs, mutual funds, and alternative investments where they appear in the aggregator feed.
Can ChatGPT compare my SEI accounts to a benchmark?

How is this different from logging into the SEI Advisor Center directly?

Can ChatGPT place trades or change models on my SEI accounts?

Can I connect both ChatGPT and Claude to my SEI account?

Does this replace the SEI Advisor Center?

What happens if SEI changes its login or MFA flow?
Truthifi's aggregator partner maintains the connection. If SEI makes changes to login or MFA, you may be prompted to re-authenticate from your Truthifi dashboard. ChatGPT will let you know if data goes stale.
Is there a free ChatGPT path for this?
No. The SEI integration requires Apps & Connectors, which is gated to ChatGPT Plus ($20/mo) or higher. If cost is a concern, Truthifi also supports free or lower-cost AI clients (including OpenClaw), so you can choose the path that fits your budget.

MCP (Model Context Protocol) is the open standard that lets AI agents like ChatGPT talk to external data sources through a structured interface; through Truthifi, it gets read-only access to your accounts.
